10 riders turned out to brave the wind and rain at tonight’s penultimate hillclimb, with an equal split of senior and junior riders. ¬†Kim Little won yet again, though this time he was on board his Whyte mountain bike equipped with road tyres. ¬†Barney Cox was fastest junior and second overall with a pb time which gives him a real shot of winning the junior championship – whoever is quickest out of Barney, Rowan Birch and Liam Teesdale next week will take the overall honours.

Of the other riders, Chris Gray managed a pb time while James Hywel-Davies didn’t seem to be suffering from his sprint crash at the airfield training on Monday as he finished in 5.42 in his first attempt at a hillclimb.
Thanks to Jerome and Ebby fro timing, and to Charles who claimed to be holding up and pushing off everyone from behind without using his hands…
