James Oliver, of the Wessex Wizards triathlon club, posted the fastest time at last night’s tt.  James was the only rider to get under twenty four minutes with a time of 23.49.  All the riders had to contend with a difficult first two-thirds of the course due to a strong North-Westerly wind which in general was adding around thirty seconds to the regular competitors’ times.  Julian Chown was second fastest with 24.02, Vince Hounsome third (24.33) while Robbie Edgell (Somer Valley CC) did very well to record 24.44 despite a non-aero set up and getting a bit confused about the route.

Ashley Martin (Chippenham Wheelers) followed up his recent hillclimb win with the fastest junior time, 25.17 which was over a minute faster than his previous best on the Wyke course.  Josh Day also did a course best time of 27.08 while Barney Cox finished with 31.07, repassing the two-up duo of Emma Bradley and James Chant with a sprint finish.

Jenny Lucas was the fastest lady rider to take her first ever maximum points score with a time of 31.17, ahead of Sarah Roberts (34.19).
