The EDCA hilly time trial series kicked off last weekend, beginning with one of the hardest events on its calendar, the 25 mile tt based at Wool.  The course takes the riders up the hill out of Wool to Lulworth on three occasions, with the rest of the lap undulating its way back round.

This year’s event was held in good conditions, and both Vince Hounsome and James Chant were quite a bit quicker than they were in 2011.  Vince finished in 68.27 for 11th place, compared to 70.49 last year, while James was 14th with 70.37 (73.21 in 2011)
Simon Rouse was 29th at round three of the WTTA Hardriders series, completing the 24 mile Severn RC event on the roads near Castle Combe in 62.06.
The next round of the Hardriders is this Sunday, taking the rides through Mere and up Mere Hollow.  There are 51 riders entered, including four GDW riders so come along and watch the suffering on the hill.  First rider should get there at around 920/930.
