Nigel Brown was the clear winner of Sunday’s race at Alfred’s Tower, which was rescheduled from a couple of weeks ago due to the recent snow.  The race took place on a very muddy short course which meant everyone got a lot of laps in.

Nigel was briefly headed by Kim Little early in the race but Kim was riding his training bike and was unable to hold Nigel off.  Nigel went on to a clear win, lapping most of the other riders at least once.  Kim remained in second and now leads the series overall.  Third place went to SPAM rider Martin Disney on his first visit to the GDW races.
James Chant and Julian Calloway had a race-long scrap for fourth, James just managing to stay in front throughout while Chris Stonebridge took his best result of the series in sixth.
There were four riders in the Youth section, riding a slightly different course.  Lewis Bishop was the winner ahead of Owen Rogers and William Bishop.  Kian Calloway’s fourth place was enough to wrap up the Youth series title with two races to spare.
Big thanks to Vince Hounsome for organising as always, to Nigel Brown for helping to set up the course the day before and to Chris Mullett whose back on two legs and turned up to marshal.
The next round is on February 24th.
