Three Wheelers turned out for the final round of the WTTA Hardriders series.  This was the traditional season-closer hillclimb event at picturesque Burrington Combe in the Mendips.  The temperature was considerably higher than is the norm for this event, and the warmer air certainly helped the riders, leading to several pb times.
The startlist included several contenders for this year’s National Hillclimb Championship at the end of the month.  Tejvan Pettinger continued his unbeaten run in recent hillclimb races, blasting up the hill in a new course record time of 6 minutes 51, the first person ever to get under seven minutes on this hill.  Former double National Champ James Dobbin took second ahead of his teammate Tavis Walker  with Bristol South’s Paul Jones in fourth.
Of the GDW riders, James Chant was 19th with a pb time of 9.05, knocking a whole half second from his previous best.  Simon Rouse 27th with 9.44, following up his 12th at the previous day’s Weston Wheelers hillclimb.  Chris Mullett was a little way off of his best time at Burrington as he continues his way back to full fitness, Chris finished with a time of 11.22 for 38th.
