Wednesday’s TT coincided with the partial solar eclipse. A course change was required again due to the ongoing emergency gas works on the Stour Provost course meaning it was another visit to Sturminster Newton.
Shawn Gray (22:17) set a fast time to finish ahead of Michael Sleeman (25:21, road bike) and Vince Hounsome (25:57). Innes Wright (26:06) was just a few seconds behind Vince. Isabel Miralles, taking part in her first GDW TT, was the fastest woman.
Shawn has wrappen up the open title once more but the battle for the podium continues. Jilly is the women’s champion and Mike sleeman’s ride last night wrapped up the road bike category.
Whilst next week was scheduled to be on the Stour Provost course, SGN have permission for their temporary traffic lights until after the event, and so round 18 will be held on the Gillingham 10 mile course. Sign on is at 6.30 pm (at the Bubl Shop, Mere Road, Gillingham) with the first rider off at 7.00 pm. Slower riders please start first!
