Good news: the GDW Winter challenge is back and with even more enhancements.

Competer or completer, it’s a bit of fun to try and get as many members as possible active and motivated during this challenging time of the year.

Maybe try out something new and/or get together with others over the darkest winter days and nights, whether you’re a cyclist, triathlete or inquisitive?

New for this year:

·         Challenge 1 – Push-off will be at Wheels (in Gillingham) on Thursday 4th December at 7pm. Ben has set up a 1.7km UCI TT on MyWhoosh (and projector).  Just bring your shoes, enthusiasm and support.

·         Challenge 3 – The dates align with the same 8 days Rapha Festive 500

·         All other challenges – you now have 14 days to complete them.  So, if you are not happy with your first attempt, try again.  Those pesky holidays can’t get in the way.

·         Challenges 6 and 8 – it is your height climbed/distance travelled in any 7 consecutive days

·         All competitors will get 5 points for completing any event

·         The Top 8 will get some bonus points

·         Results for any given challenge (please send a consolidated version if possible) must be sent to wright.innes@gmail.com by 9pm of the last day of that challenge.

Times and distances must be taken using your indoor cycling app (eg Zwift) for indoor cycling or smart watch/headset in “race mode” (i.e. continuous time for all efforts) for other activities.
