Kim Little notched up two wins in a week last week, winning both the GDW Alfred’s Tower XC race and the Offcamber event at Inside Park.

At Alfred’s Tower, organiser Vince Hounsome had come up with a tough course with lots of climbing and a couple of tricky obstacles to negotiate.  Kim made it all look easy as he completed four laps in the one hour race, well clear of his early chasers Nigel Brown and Andy Parsons.
There was a good battle for fourth throughout the race.  James Chant and Lawrence Pitman swapped places repeatedly over the first two laps until James opened up a decisive gap.  However, on lap three, Liam Teesdale and then Scawen Ropberts got past them both and soon pulled away.  Liam held Scawen back to take fourth, with James and Lawrence sixth and seventh.
Jake Coward was next on his singlespeed cyclocross bike after swapping places a few times with James Howell in the early laps, while Jake’s brother Josh was the final rider home.
At Inside Park, some 65 riders were left trailing in Kim’s wake as he stormed to his third series win.  All of the riders struggled in slippery and sticky conditions, with lap times way down on the previous round.  James Horton was Kim’s closest challenger two minutes behind.  Of the locals, Andy parsons was eighth, Scawen Roberts 17th, Liam Teesdale struggled with only one brake to finish as third junior while James Howell had his first visit to the venue and finished as fifth junior.
The next GDW XC race is on February 2nd while the Offcamber series has two more races on Feb 23rd and March 9th.
