It was a fine though windy evening for the the club’s first time trial on the new Sturminster Newton course.  The tailwind over the final couple of miles made for a fast finish with plenty of riders topping 40 mph coming down to timekeepers.

Paul Hopkins was fastest of the 28 riders, beating Charles Rees and Jay Hookins.  Neil Mackinnon was an excellent fourth and quickest of the juniors.  Full results here
At the latest hillclimb on Bank Holiday Monday, Josh Day beat Kim Little by ten seconds so it looks like Kim has a title challenger this season.  Third went to James Chant, just ahead of visiting rider Jake Coward.  Rowan Birch knocked lots of time off of his pb for fifth, while there were pbs for Liam Teesdale and James Howell as well.  Paddy Dunne made a big time improvement and Sarah Roberts was over two minutes faster than last time out.  Results here
