Halloween may start off slightly misty before turning into a sunny day with a light easterly breeze – good autumnal riding weather.

The White route heads to Stalbridge, Kings Stag and Hazelbury, before skirting the base of Bulbarrow on the way to Okeford Fitzpaine. It’s then onto the other Okeford (Child), Shroton and Iwerne Minster, returning through the Orchards and Stour Row.

The Pink and Blue routes take the long way to Todber on the way to Iwerne Minster and the Tarrant valley. It’s then on to Witchampton (it is Halloween after all) from where the Pinks add in a few extra pedal strokes. The routes rejoin in Sixpenny Handley, following the road to Shaftesbury via Zig Zag.

Its a 9.00 am start, meet at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshments.

There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
