Nathaniel Brookes has been flying the blue and pink flag up and down the country. Strong rides and bad luck have defined his spring campaign to date. In the LVYCC Youth National Series Race he got mistaken for a lapped rider at the restart and still managed to catch the lead group on the road, finishing 32nd.
Better luck followed at Wyre Forest where solid tactics in the bunch kick netted him 4th place, his best result this year.
The Mid Devon Youth Races beckoned. In a fast and open race Nathaniel managed to take top honours and bring home the club’s first Win of 2017. #chapeau
Tristram More-Molneyux made the trip to Brighton, to race the outdoor Velodrome. It’s his first season racing as a 2nd Cat. The Elite/1/2 race was super fast and T rolled the dice a few times mixing it at the front of the race. Unfortunately the bunch kick didn’t go his way. No result this time, but plenty more of the season to go.
This weekend sees a large contingent of the club heading down to Castle Combe for the world famous Good Friday meeting. Sun is promised and spectators welcomed!
