Paul Hopkins led the way on the tough Sturminster Newton course at this week’s tt. Paul took a clear win, beating Kim Little by 30 seconds with Shawn Gray in third. Charles Rees was down on his usual pace after setting a new club 25 mile record on Sunday and an E/1/2 race at Thruxton the night before but still finished in fourth while Vince Hounsome was fifth, the highest place he’s been so far this season.
There was hardly anything between James and Connor Geddes again, with James taking the fastest junior spot. Harry Charles was struggling with hay fever but wasn’t far behind the twins in third. Maddie Howden was the quickest female rider.
The tt schedule currently listed on the GDW calendar page will be changing soon so keep an eye on it, the Gillingham course is going to be out of action this season due to long-term roadworks. Once we have the police acknowledgement the calendar will be updated.
