Today’s mountain bike race at Alfred’s Tower Woods saw the biggest entry so far.  24 riders turned out in horrible wet and windy weather and all of them got a thorough covering of mud as the tracks quickly deteriorated.  Paul Hopkins won a hard-fought race from Kim Little, the pair of them circulating together until the final stages when Paul managed to open out a decisive gap.  Andy Parsons continued his way back to full fitness after a recent operation to finish third with Julian Chown in fourth.  A three-way tussle for fifth saw several order changes through the race, fifth eventually going to Alex Croucher ahead of Vince Hounsome and Dom McLoughlin.  Thanks to all those who turned out to help and got cold and wet doing so.
Results and points tables are here
The fourth and final round of the series will be on March 13th
