The East Dorset Cycling Association tt series got underway last weekend at the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers Open event.  This was held on a tough course around Wool and East Lulworth, the riders having to tackle the 3 mile climb from Wool on laps one and two with the finish half way up on lap three.  Vince Hounsome covered the 25 miles in one hour, 10 minutes 49 for 15th with James Chant in 19th with a time of 1.13.21.  Paul Jones (BJW) took a close win on 1.04.21.

The Gorrick mtb series continued at Porrdige Pot Hill near Farnborough, with Paul Hopkins (Merida) taking another Super Vets win.  Andy Parsons was also in this race, getting a good result with 6th place.  Kim Little was third in the Masters Male race while Emma Bradley had her first outing with the WXC squad, coming third in the Expert Female event.

This coming weekend will see a few GDW riders in action at the crit races at Thruxton on Sunday, a few others at the opening round of the British MTB Series near Mansfield, while the WTTA Hardrider tt championship moves on to round four.  Don Tanner, Grahame Reed and Simon Rouse will be heading through Mere and up Mere Hollow during this event so go and give them a shout on the hillclimb.  The full entry list can be seen here
