Another highest-ever entry of 27 riders were treated to excellent weather conditions on Wednesday night at the latest round of the GDW time trial series.  The majority of the field recorded either personal best or season best times so congratulations to everyone who did – perhaps the course should be re-routed to have an extra hill or two added in to make it more of a challenge?  Paul Hopkins won again with a time of 45.34, the quickest time that a Gillingham Wheeler has recorded on this course (Richard Prebble’s 42.14 being the outright record).  Andy Hopkins was second just seven seconds ahead of Vince Hounsome.  The five women riders were headed home by Nicola Macleod with an excellent 56.39 at her first attempt at the 19.

Next week’s tt is due to be held on the 10 mile course from Gillingham but this may be changed to the Stour Provost 10 due to the resurfacing works being carried out around Milton-on-Stour.  Watch this space for updates…
