Well it’s officially autumn, but before the leaves drop, Saturday looks to have sunny intervals and a light breeze.
The Pink and Blue routes head through Shaftesbury and over Zig Zag on their way to Witchampton and Wimborne. They then take different roads to Lytchett Matravers before heading through Sturminster Marshall and back to Blandford. The return to Gillingham is via Manston and Todber by which stage the Blues could be swimming in coffee! The Pink’s may hit Todber Lakes for lunch.
The White route heads south west through Stalbridge and on to Lydlinch, Glanvilles Wootton and Mappowder. They then make their way to Okeford Fitzpaine and Hammoon to join the other routes home.
Its a 9.00 am start, meet at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshments.
Also a heads up: 2026 Hill Climb Championship – The Zig Zag event is on Sunday morning -so go along and cheer the riders up the hill!
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
