Sunshine and light winds from the south suggest Saturday should be another great day to get out on the bike!
The Blue and Pink routes head south over Bulbarrow and through Dewlish to Puddletown. The Pink route continues to Broadmayne, over to Came Down and back through Dorchester before heading home up the Piddle valley to Stalbridge. The Blue route takes a more direct route from Puddletown to Dorchester (where they can indulge their coffee needs) and then rejoins the Pink route up the Piddle valley. Both routes are slightly longer than normal.
Meanwhile the White route heads to Child Okeford, through the Bryanston estate and up to Bulbarrow via Dunbury and Delcombe Woods. They drop down to Stoke Wake on their way to Kings Stag and Stalbridge.
Its a 9.00 am start, meet at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshments.
Also a heads up for Saturday 29th August. Charlotte has a round birthday this month and wants to take a Blue paced ride to Burnham on Sea. They will leave Gillingham at 8.30 am.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
