As we breeze into August , Saturday is looking warm and sunny and a bit cooler than midweek and with a gentle NE wind.
There are 3 routes on offer, and all head to the north to Nunney, the Whites then head for Mells with a coffee stop at the Walled Garden Cafe. The Blue and Pink routes then head through Wells via slightly different routes across the Mendips and onto Coxley where there is a a coffee stop at Brownes Garden Centre. The Blues and Pinks then return via Bruton, again via slightly different routes and on to The Hunters Lodge before heading back to Gillingham. The Whites head back from Mells via Great Elm, Frome, Garehill and Zeals. There should hopefully be no Gravel sections on any of the routes this week.
Meet at 9.00 am at Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshments.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
