So this was the challenge to get out (or in) on your bike and just keep going. Who could travel the furthest in 7 consecutive days?
Dave Hayter got out on his bike 3 times. Chris Mullet did 7 consecutive days of effort and then there was our current leader, Michael Sleeman, who was always going to get out there. He boldly did just over 300k on the roads of Wiltshire.
However, a couple of Wheelers fortuitously found themselves on a training camp in Lanzarote. I’m sure there will be little sympathy shown for the terrible conditions (it was windy and a bit cold) but both Vince Hounsome and Innes Wright still managed over 400k as a mix of swim, bike and run.
And then there was Jon Rich. 19 hours on Zwift made him the worthy weekly winner – 693k.
Michael maintains top spot, but Vince and Jon are now on the same points. But the final challenge is really 3 challenges, so it could all change.
Between 16 and 29 March a lot of points are available for each of the final challenges: swim 400m, bike 40k and run 5k (all can be done separately and on different days, no need for all that “transition” malarkey). Good luck.
