It was a hot Wednesday with a helpful breeze on the Manston to Guys Marsh section of the 10 mile Stour Provost course. 14 riders took to the start line, but only 13 finished as Shawn Gray punctured apporaching Stour Row.
The top 5 riders were separated by 32 seconds in total with Nigel Brown (25:00 road bike) taking his second TT win of the week. Vince Hounsome (25:12) was second, one second ahead of Mark Jacobs (25:13) with Gary Francis (25:24) in fourth and Ed Pyke (25:32) fifth. Lower down Chris Mullett and Ed Williamson were tied (30:39). Jilly Wallace was again fastest woman.
Innes despite being away retains the overall lead from Shawn. Nigel Brown now leads Michael Sleeman in the road bike category.
Next week is scheduled for the 10 mile Gillingham course. Sign on is at 6.30 pm (at The Bubl Shop, Mere Road, Gillingham SP8 4EU) with the first rider off at 7.00 pm.
