The 2026 Gillingham Wheelers Time Trial Series kicked off on the 6.5 mile Milton on Stour course on a sunny but very gusty evening. given it had been raining until early afternoon, a decent field of 10 riders took to the start line.
Reigning Club Champion Shawn Gray came home in 14:37, followed by Nigel Brown (16:40, on a road bike) with Michael Sleeman a whisker behind inthird (16:42, aghain on a road bike). Gary Francis was second fastest on a TT bike with Innes Wright third in the category. Jilly Wallace was fastest woman.
Round 2 (22nd April) takes place on the 10 mile Stour Provost course (with the new start point at the junction of the B3092 and Stour Lane). Sign on is again at 6.00 pm (at Stour Provost Community School) with the first rider off at 6.30 pm.
