The annual TVCRA 4 Up time trial took place at Ilton on Thrursday evening, racing over 30 Km (6 laps of the airfield perimeter track). The GDW team of Mike Smith, James Foster and James Hawkins competing together for the first raced well together, although at the end of the first lap there was a brief coming together of both James F and James H but luckily they both bounced off each other and no time was lost and they finished a very creditable 6th position.
Also racing was Alan Smith in a scratch team, and 5 laps Charles Rees racing for Team Tor 2000. Charles’ team were by all accounts the fastest, however no one was counting the laps so they just did 5 laps.
