Simon Rouse has been in regular time trial action lately, recording some good times in the process.  At Severn RC’s 25 mile tt last weekend, on a course that is recognised as a ‘slow’ one, Simon was 26th with a time of 1.03.22, just ahead of Steve Way (31st, 1.06.19).  This weekend, Simon did well at the Yeovil Open 10 mile tt on Saturday with a time of 23.46 (26th position) and then finished in 32nd at the Swindon RC Hardrider tt with a time of 1.03.05.  This scenic course near Devizes takes in the two climbs of Milk Hill and Morgan’s Hill in its 23 mile route.  James Chant and Sarah Roberts were also riding at this event, with James just behind Simon in 34th (1.03.27) and Sarah in 51st (1.25.09).
At the ‘middlemarkers’ 10 mile tt run by Sotonia CC at Andover, riders were hampered by a tough return leg to the finish.  Don Tanner finished in 50th place with a time of 24.36.

At the first two GDW time trials a few riders have gone home with their numbers.  If you have one could you please make sure you bring it with you this week or get it back to Mary and Dennis asap.
Also, there were a couple of incidents at the Mere t-junction last week, please remember we are on a public highway and that this can be a busy junction – riders should be travelling at a speed that is slow enough to stop in case you have to!
