Jay Hookins took a narrow win from Kim Little at tonight’s non-aero tt. There was a hard headwind for the riders to battle against on the outward leg of the course, but both Jay and Kim got into the 23s regardless. Visiting rider Alex Croucher was third ahead of Nigel Brown in fourth.
Liam Teesdale set a good time to win the juniors’ section, ahead of Rowan Birch and Barney Cox.
Next Week’s TT –
It’s the interclub event next week, GDW v Westbury Wheelers v Frome DW, using the Westbury club’s 10 mile course from Longbridge Deverill. First rider will be off at 1901, please sign in by 1845. The HQ is the disused fish farm/fruit and veg shop on the A350, just South of the road to Mere. There are course details on the Westbury Wheelers website
The winning team will be calculated by adding up the fastest five times from each club, then dividing by five to get an average for each club. The lowest average time wins. The five times must include one female rider.
The results will also count as a round of the GDW championship.
