Can it really be August? A fine, dry day is forecast with a light wind generally from the north. As usual, three routes to choose from.
The White route heads out through Buckhorn Weston on its way to Sparkford. The route then heads to East Lydford, then passes just to the north of Castle Cary and onto Bruton, returning via Stoney Stoke and Bourton.
The Pink and Blue routes head out along Bay Road, then over Mere Down and through the Deverills on the way to Warminster and Westbury before splitting at Bratton. The Pink route continues to Coulston and Marston, looping back through Trow Vegas and onto Rode and Frome. The return is via Maiden Bradley and Bourton.
The Blue route takes the short way to Vegas from Bratton and rejoins the Pink route at Wingfield.
