The final round of the GDW MTB series was held in very wet conditions today in Stourhead woods. A testing course was prepared by Vince Hounshome that included some tricky descents as well as some drop offs from the main tracks down through the forest. A few riders came a cropper hitting tree stumps and going over the handlebars, luckily the video man Mike Smith was in the right place and captured both tumbles. The film is available on the video page, however is currently uploading to YouTube. Should be available at approx 7pm this evening.
A number of riders decided the descents were a bit tricky and chose to walk down – probably just as well as they would have been captured on film too. Vince had equipment failure (broken skewer, and his rear wheel fell off) so failed to complete the course
