The second of the GDW winter mountain bike races was a very muddy affair, the recent wet weather transforming some parts of the course.  The sticky gloopy bits didn’t seem to slow down Kim Little at all, he raced away from everyone to finish minutes clear of Nigel Brown, lapping most of the other competitors.  Third place went to Andy Parsons who struggled during the race with a rear brake locking on.

Charles Rees just held on to fourth from Scawen Roberts while Richard Higgs was sixth.  James Howell and Jake Coward had a race-long scrap, with Jake finishing ahead on his singlespeed machine while Ben Day was next home on a cyclocross bike.  Dan Riggs finished his first ever mountain bike race in 10th with Chris Stonebridge the final finisher.  There were two non-finishers, Martin Bastable retired with a broken chain and James Chant punctured from fifth place.
