It was a case of deja vu at today’s mountain bike race, with Nigel Brown passing Kim Little right at the very end of the race, just as he did at the last round.  Alex Day took third place ahead of Tom Downes and Vince Hounsome.

Josh Day moved to the head of the championship with sixth place, Julian Calloway was seventh, first junior home was Lawrence Pitman in eighth while James Chant and Gavin Flag were the final unlapped riders.
The field of 22 riders were treated to another course extension from organiser Vince Hounsome, with a good mix of singletrack, fire roads and tough uphill sections, while the recent wet weather meant that some parts of the course were very hard to keep the bike moving forwards through the mud.  The extra distance meant that the lead riders covered four laps in the hour-long race this time.
Thanks to organisers Julian Day and Vince, and to Nigel Brown for helping mark out the course on Saturday, and to Chris Mullett for marshalling again
