Many years ago the club used to organise a MTB series in Stourhead woods. The numbers gradually dwindled so the series didn’t run any more.
Due to the growth of gravel cycling activities, the club are looking at putting on a number of gravel events again in Stourhead woods. Any suitable bike can be used whether it be gravel, cross or mountain bike and all standard of riders are welcome.
We have chosen a circuit of approximately 2 km and the test event is on the 26th Oct is open only to club members as they will have 3rd party liability insurance which Stourhead estates insist on. The event will be time based and will be 30 – 45 mins in duration.
Meet at Alfred’s Tower car park at 9.30 for a 10.00 start.
We will require a couple of marshals on the course with radios to warn walkers and also a couple of timekeepers.
