UPDATE – The temporary traffic lights now have permission to 19th August so we are changing course this week to Sturminster. Sign on details below!
Following the late change of course last week, we hope to run Round 17 of GDW Time Trial 2026 Series on Wednesday (12th August), on the 21 mile Stour Provost course. However, please note there are ongoing works related to the gas leak near East Orchard, and SGN now have permission to have temporary lights until 23:59 on Wednesday evening.
As with last week, the alternative route will be the 10 mile Sturminster course with sign on in the Stour View Close Car Park. Make sure you are signed up to the TT Helpers Whatsapp Group for the latest info. It’s also the solar eclipse so lights will be essential!
Sign on is from 6:30 pm at Stour Provost Community School, Woodville, SP8 5LX with the first rider starting at 7:00 pm. Given the length of the course, please ensure that slower riders start ahead of the quickest riders!
In addition to the open category of bike, there is also the “road bike” category in line with Cycling Time Trial’s definition of a road bike, with the main notable change being that deeper wheels are now allowed – “The road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars; no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinacci bars are allowed; no disc wheels; both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each; the maximum rim depth allowed is 90mm“.
*NOTE* – It is a CTT regulation that all riders must have (and use) working front and rear lights and wear helmets – NO LIGHTS, NO HELMET, NO START! Riders must also obey the Highway Code at all times.
Entry fees are: £4.00 for GDW members, £3.50 for GDW members aged 16 & under, £5.00 for non-members.
Entry fees should be paid by card or by phone; (We do not accept cash payments)!
