Whilst NASA search for Easter eggs on the dark side of the moon, back in Dorset, Easter Saturday looks to be a grey day with an increasingly strong south westerly wind, and possibly a bit of drizzle as Storm Dave approaches the UK.
All three routes head south to Blandford via the Bryanston estate and then over to Winterborne Stickland. The White route heads up Dunbury Lane and through ‘spooky wood’ past the bluebells to the top of Bulbarrow. They then descend via Stoke Wake to Hazelbury, returning through Sturminster and Marnhull.
The Pink and Blue routes continue down the Winterborne valley and then turn to head back to Milton Abbas then onto Ansty, Hazelbury and Kings Stag before passing bthrough Stalbridge on the way back to Gillingham.
Its a 9.00 am start, meet at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshments.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
