Hurrah. A bit of running.

Dave Hayter and Chris Mullet spent a couple of hours with a more leisurely approach whilst Michael Sleeman was the fastest in yet another challenge (38:06 for 10k is impressive).

The triathletes trailed with Innes Wright leading them a full 5 minutes slower than our champion.

Sadly Innes’ run didn’t get him much closer to the podium which remains the same, but with only 2 points (out of 80) splitting Vince Hounsome from Jon Rich. Dave Hayter has made it into the top 5 for the first time.

Between 2 and 15 March the challenge is to travel horizontally (self-powered) as far as possible in 7 consecutive days. If only you had chosen to go on a training camp to Lanzarote during this time – sorry.

Results (and schedule) can be found on the GDW Winter Challenge results 2025-26.
