The final GDW Time Trial of 2025 takes place on Wednesday evening (3rd September) on the short 6.5 mile Milton on Stour course. There’s alway the option for a post series pint at the Dolphin afterwards.
Please note that sign on is at 6:00 pm at The Bubl Shop, Mere Road, Gillingham with the first rider starting at 6:30 pm.
On behalf of the committee, a massive thanks to those who have helped out to enable these events to take place, but particular mentions to Kyle, John, Pete, Colin and Mike who have been regular timekeepers or marshals, and James for publicising the events and updating the results each week. The series will return in the middle of April 2026.
If you received one of the ‘perpetual’ trophies last week, please either return it to Mark Harvey on Wednesday, or drop it off with Ben or Max at Wheels in Station Road by the end of September.
In addition to the open category of bike, there is also the “road bike” category in line with Cycling Time Trial’s definition of a road bike, with the main notable change being that deeper wheels are now allowed – “The road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars; no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinacci bars are allowed; no disc wheels; both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each; the maximum rim depth allowed is 90mm“.
*NOTE* – It is a CTT regulation that all riders must have (and use) working front and rear lights and wear helmets – NO LIGHTS, NO HELMET, NO START! Riders must also obey the Highway Code at all times.
Entry fees are: £4.00 for GDW members, £3.50 for GDW members aged 16 & under, £5.00 for non-members.
