It was another very windy (though warm) evening for Round 3 of the 2026 GDW Time Trial Series which was held on the 10 mile Sturminster Newton course . A field of 15 riders took to the start line.
Shawn Gray (22:14) again posted the fastest time ahead of Sam Thompson (24.01) and Nigel Brown (25:18, and fastest road bike). Gary Francis (25:57) pipped Innes Wright (25:59) for fourth spot. Ed Pyke was second quickest on a road bike with Greg Broadbent third. Jilly Wallace was again the fastest woman.
Round 4 (6th May) is scheduled for the 19 mile Bruton course. Sign on is at 6.30 pm (at the Old Mill Business Estate, Station Road, Bruton BA10 0EH) with the first rider off at 7.00 pm.
