The ongoing emergency gas works resulted in another course change, this time to the 10 mile Gillingham course. Being a Wednesday, it was of course another breezy evening. Jon Rich took the opportunity to swap the clipboard and stopwatch for his TT bike.
With Shawn away on his holidays it was an opportunity for others to take top spot. Mike Sleeman (25:13, road bike) posted the fastest time ahead of Mark Jacobs (25:52) and Jon Rich (26:13). Nigel Brown (26:32, road bike) came home fourth. Jilly was the fastest woman.
The battle for the podium in the open clategory will go down to the final event in 2 week’s time.
Next week is our second 2-Up and will be held on the 10 mile Sturminster Newton course. Sign on is at 6.00 pm (at the Stour View Close Car Park, Sturminster Newton, DT10 1JF) with the first pair off at 6.30 pm.
