It was another hot Wednesday with a slight breeze blowing the riders up the hill through Zeals on the 10 mile Gillingham course. Despite the semi final of the football there were 9 riders lining up on the start line. Jon Rich and his 2 young assistants saw the riders off.
Shawn Gray didn’t puncture this week so finished first in a time of 22.58, 2nd on his road bike was Mike Sleeman in 24.46 and 3rd Vince Hounsome in 26.23. Jilly Wallace was again fastest woman.
Next week is scheduled for the 19 mile Bruton course. Sign on is at 6.30 pm (at The Old Mill Business Estate, Station Road, Bruton BA10 0EH) with the first rider off at 7.00 pm.
