It was a warm but windy evening on the 10 mile Sturminster Newton course for round 14 of the 2025 Time Trial series. A field of 15 riders took to the start line.

After being thrown out of Wales for stealing too many KoMs, Shawn Gray (22:58) continued his good form coming home ahead of John Day (24:34, road bike) and Adrian Riddleston (25:20, road bike). Mike Sleeman and Nigel Brown, also on road bikes, were 4th and 5th quickest. Louella Yorke was fastest woman ahead of Kate O’Sullivan and Jilly Wallace.

With just a hanful of rounds left, Josh leads the overall by 19 points from Shawn, having completed one more round than Shawn. In the road bike category Josh has an unassailable lead, as does Jilly in the womens’ competition.

Next week is scheduled for the 21 mile Stour Provost course. Sign on at Stour Provost Community School at 6.30 pm, first rider off at 7.00 pm. (Please can the slower riders ensure they take the early start numbers!)

Before that, a reminder that the wake for Roger Limerick is on Sunday at 4.00 pm at The Udder Farm Shop, East Stour.
