Commissaires/Officials Training

The South British Cycling Region are looking for volunteers to train as Commissaires/Officials to support events in the South region.  Gillingham Wheelers are looking to organise some road races next year at both Henstridge and a road race circuit in the local area, so GDW would need officials to help out there.  Here are the details that Grant Bayton has sent out.  I have already confirmed with Grant I'd like to do the course in Feb next year, so let me know or contact Grant direct if you are interested.  NB - These course are free to attend

Thanks

All,

We are looking for volunteers to be trained as Commissaires/Officials to support at events in the South Region. Events are now growing across all disciplines along with participation, however we are currently struggling with the infrastructure to support these growing events.

The disciplines we need volunteers for initially are the following;

·         Track
·         MTB – Cross Country
·         MTB – Down Hill
·         Road & Circuit

I will be looking to run courses in February 2014, if you or anyone you know are interested could you let me know by Mid-November.

Also if you could use the attached flyer on your club websites to help recruit volunteers to become Commissaires it would be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Grant Bayton
