Bruton TT

posted 10 Jul 2013, 23:44 by James Chant
Another win for Paul Hopkins at this week's tt, some two minutes quicker than the runner-up and three ahead of the next GDW rider.  Hopefully this went some way to making up for his double puncture at the weekend whist leading the National mountain bike race at Margam Park.

Second place went to impressive Yeovil CC junior rider Kurtis Rowe who knocked a couple of minutes from his course pb on what was far from a good night due to the North East wind.  ANother junior, Jake Coward took third.  Vince Hounsome was fourth and then there was another three minute gap back to James Chant in fifth.  In spite of going in the wrong direction for a little while, Martin Bastable set a good time on his first ride on this course.

Times and championship tables are on the 'Current Results' page.

Vince Hounsome was in 25 mile tt action on Sunday, finishing 17th at the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers event on the Poole bypass with a very quick time of 57.47.
